Question about CPU cooler

Solution
Well, in particular, that model will fit but it's very poor design. That plastic shroud is meant to be fit to motherboard with pins and then the cooler will be held with a transverse clip on that plastic piece.
I'm confident it will have very poor mounting pressure and idk about that plastic thingy.. looks flimsy ...may break?

Anyway, try finding one that has foul legs sticking out with pushpins at corners like stock coolers .. is better mounting. (best mounting is with screws, springs, and back-plate.. called bolt-trough)

I admit i don't have experience with that plastic shroud (maybe it's actually good).. but i do remember sk478 plastic clips that broke 50% of the time and that is plastic made by the original manufacturer of the...

Yes you could, because that cooler support 755 socket (that Q6600 using)...

I don't trust china's plastic to be any better.

And yes, you can plug a 3pin header into a 4pin MB (it will only go on 3 of them, at it has a tab to align the correct 3pins out of 4 (foolproof).
