Can I have my speaker and headset run through the same audio jack and be recognized as separate devices?

I have speakers and two headsets. I have my first headset in the front panel jack. Is it possible to have my second headset and speakers run through the same audio jack in the back panel, but have them both be recognized as two different devices?

-I have tried using an audio splitter, but my computer recognized them both as only one device
-I tried plugging the speakers into the line in and set to "headphone" in Realtek Audio Manager, but it still recognized the headset and speakers and a single device.

Mobo: MSI H110M Gaming
-This motherboard has mic in, audio out, and line in

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Solution
You can not make a single jack play back separate streams.

The card is only designed for 2 streams(when the front and back ports are set to playback separate streams). Because of this, multiple rear ports can play the same thing, but not separate streams.

If you just want to use the same output you can use a switch(but the splitter should almost do the same thing).

An alternative would be a usb sound card to give you a 3rd output, but you would have to use windows to swap the default audio device when you want to use it.

In general being detected as speakers does not cause issues for headphones.

Out of curiosity, What are you doing with 3 outputs? are you running different audio on each? It is important to know that not all programs can select a sound card(Winamp for instance can, but many games and web browsers do not or do not make it easy and they just use the default sound card.).

Example.
Even with another sound card playing all Windows sounds, Winamp can use its own sound card output(many older programs have these options).
