Hellos guys, I've had a 8350 Cpu for a while now I had it along with a Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 770 Windforce 2Gb UNTILL it stopped working last month. Now I have a Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 1060 xtreme gaming 6gb and I feel like I must overclock this Cpu now. My gaming mind tells me "it's time already, your Cpu is old and almost obsolete and it has to work hard with this gpu".

The reasons why I haven't overclocked it are 1st of all fear, 2nd I think it could make its lifetime gap lower and 3rd I DON'T KNOW A DANM THING ABOUT IT.

Now my questions. All I do is mostly gaming on it.
Is it worth overclocking for my purpose?
If I don't overclock, what are the cons?
HOW? As I stated I don't know nothing about this.

Hardware on Windows 10 64bit:

Mobo: Gigabyte Am3+ 990fxa-ud7 rev. 3.0
Cpu: AMD FX 8350 black edition
Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master Seido 120m
Gpu: Gigabyte Geforce gtx 1060 xtreme gaming 6gb
Ram: Kingston HiperX Fury 12Gb (3x4gb) 1 stick came defective when I bought it)
Psu: EVGA Supernova G2 1000W

I'd appreciate your help!

Almost forgot. I have not updated my BIOS just in case

Solution
Disable turbo & set multiplier to 21.5
Enable hpc mode
- that'll give you 4.3ghz off the bat & should not require you to touch anything else.
anything else is going to require playing around with voltages & in all honesty I'm not sure the seidon 120 is good enough for going any higher.

I've already seen it and spent several hours but he's motherboard features are very very different to mine.
