Single mem with triplechannel

Hello,

I have a p6t-se with triple channel mem, 3x 4gb 1333.

Can I add a 8gb or just a 4gb DDR 3 1333 along side the others ?

Or I have to add more 3 triple channeling it?

You can just add one more of the same frequency and timings and it will not adversely impact your memory performance too much. But why do you need more than 12GB?
