Hi Tom's hardware,

So I have found some solutions close to what I am looking for but nothing right on. I have an SSD (OS drive) and HDD (purely storage for games). I a have only ever used these drives for these purposes.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD because I believe it to be causing some system freezes/lock-ups I have been experiencing since I built my rig.

I plan on unplugging my HDD during the install process just to be safe however the only files it has ever had on it have been games, I don't even think I have any drivers or anything like that on it.

If I just plug it right back in to the mobo after the install on the SSD is complete, can I just keep using it like normal? I want to avoid reformatting it and having to download 500gb worth of games again (slow internet). I'm hoping I can keep using it without reformatting it and it won't cause any new issues, or potentially continue the old issues.

Any insight or tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!
