Hey guys, I could use some help. I built my first computer a couple months ago, and everything has been going great for the most part. The only problems I have had accured after waking it from sleep mode. This has caused some minor problems such as usb devices, monitor, or speakers not being detected and requiring a restart to fix. It has also caused another much more annoying problem. Sleep mode has wiped my hard drive three times. I Didnt know how it happened the first time, then it happened again. For the third time I accidently hit the sleep button on my case. What could be causing this? It seems strange. I have an 850 evo 1T, it is showing 136 gb used space after i reloaded the OS yesterday. Other than a couple wargamer files I cant seem to find anything else from before the wake up. Please help.

My OS default language is German and you have to download the English setting, so this has been a real pain.

Have you tried turning sleep mode off? I used to find it wouldn't wake monitor up after sleep so I just set monitor to never turn off and it settled that.

I don't know how sleep can wipe drives??

sleep button on case? that is different, i only have power and reset.

what are specs of the PC? how much space should be showing as used on SSD?
