hey guys, i have 2x4 gb 1600mhz on my pc, and im thinking about upgrading to 16 gb, so, how im supposed to do it? Buy 2 more sticks of the same memory type? Replace for 2x8gb? There is some loss if i go with 4x4 instead of 2x8?

There *might* be incompatibilities (we can never tell unless you try) going for another set of 2x4GB (even with the same exact brand/model/speed/latency/etc), as these 2 pairs of modules were not tested/sold together. But there is also a good *chance* they will work flawlessly.

If you are overclocking (don't know what your CPU is), a 2 x 8GB would be less stress on CPU OC instead of filling out all the 4 RAM slots.
