Hello everyone, I am trying to find a media centre to use on our spare tv upstairs, i already have a pus lying around and was wondering if this motherboard cpu combo is a better deal then this prebuilt system. I already have a hdd and psu so all I would need is an atx case. Please tell what you believe in your opinion is a better deal. Thanks.

Prebuilt - HP 8000 SSF with a Core 2 Duo E8400 + 4GB DDR2 for $54
Motherboard + CPU Combo - GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3R + Core 2 Quad Q9300 + 4GB DDR2- $58 + $49 for a deep cool case I found at MSY (I already have a 550w Silverstone PSU at home)

Problem with pre-build system is that if PSU dies, you would need to spit out $$ to buy exactly the same SFF psu.
Motherboard CPU combo would also have better performance, since you have a core 2 QUAD, which is actually 4 cores.
With a normal case you would also have the option to install a number of sata drives if you want, compared to SFF.
And having a normal case with a few fans in it, may actually keep the PC quiet.
