I have an APC UPS, and it comes with a red light on the back of the device that (the sales person told me) if lit, it indicates something is wrong with the outlet.
The light is on, so I googled what exactly is wrong with the outlet, and this is it: http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA158817/
TL;DR: my AC outlet has no ground, and I live in an area with a lot of fluctuations.
What sould I do with the UPS until the electrician comes? Should I not use it? Should I connect it the the wall? If left unused, will it's battery damage?
