My pc is running slow and games are unplayable.
I just installed an amd rx480 4gb and it seems like my last card was working better, i'm thinking this is because of the other parts on the pc

motherboard: msi h81m-p33 (is the rx 480 compatible with this part?)
Cpu: intel core i3 4170
Ram:4gb
Psu: 875w

Is it a necessity to upgrade my parts?

do you monitor temps?

did you uninstall the old drivers before swapping the new gpu in?

did you install the newest drivers from the amd website?

make and model of the power supply?

i've uninstalled the previous drivers and seem to have installed the latest drivers. i don't actively monitor temps and the pcu is Thermaltake, tough power XT,

well it's been a while but i could run both games on low to med settings with 30 to 60 fps on both of the 2 games mentioned and now the pc can't run both on low with about 10fps to not running at all

It sounds like windows automatically installed your video drivers. after your uninstallation. Go to the manufacturers site and install the latest drivers from their website:

the problem with my pc was that my motherboard wasn't compatible with the rx480. the card still runs with my pc but i have purchased another motherboard and i will be buying a core i7 when i have the spare money and rebuilding my pc.

i will be selling my current motherboard, cpu and ram and i'm already selling my old gpu (Geforce gt 630) just so i don't go broke
