Is this a decent overclock?

Mobo: Z170x Gaming 7
Cpu: i5-6400 @2.7 OC @4.53ghz
Cooler: Corsair H115i (got for $50 from a buddy so I know it's overkill but it was $50)
Ram: 16gb of Adata. 2x8gb
Gpu: MSI GTX1060 3gb OCv1
2TB hard drive
Adata 120gb SSD

Thanks to you guys I have bought a new motherboard to start my quest as a non-k overclocker.
I've got my CPU running at 4.53ghz, I've gotten up to 4.8 but it didn't last an hour in prime 95 but I ran 4.53 for 6 hours so it's obviously more stable. Highest temp reached was 58 Celsius and averaged around 55 on load in a stress test. Idles at 30. CpuV is st 1.350v Just wanted to know if this is a good overclock or a great one.

Solution
It seems like a very decent overclock, and i'm quite sure its a tad faster then what i could get out of my I5! Congrats. Temps looks good, just keep monitoring and stick to that clock.

I've ran it for a few days now idling and under load (BF1, GTA5, and I cranked up witcher 3) but I was told for my purpose of gaming 6hours on prime95 is overkill. Since during games your CPU might not be at 100% load at all times so it has "breaks" and so far I think it's truly stable. I could push more volts, I was stable at 1.4 as well but it started hitting 60degrees C. And I like the 50 area.

That is a great OC if it truly is stable. I would run a 24 hour run of prime95 once I had it nailed like this just to see how stable it is. People argue against 24 hour runs of Prime95 but its always nice to see if it really is that stable or if you need to tweak your voltage/OC a hair. I probably value stability a bit more than others though.

Even if I need to bump it 1.375 or 1.4 I'd be okay with it. I tried hitting 5ghz it loaded up windows but it crashed within minutes lmao. I was at 4.8 at the time and was getting greedy so I became realistic and put it on 4.5 because I figured that was plenty.

If all you do is game then 6 hours is likely fine but you could still have a crash here and there. If you do have some odd crashes and it bothers you then a 24 hours run of Prime95 would help pinpoint it.

@mrbang I plan on staying here and working with this, my benchmarks on cinebanch and CPU-z show higher scores then a stock i7-6700k on single core and within fingertip length of multi core so I'm satisfied.

Update for everyone: I decided to push further for a higher clock. Got to 4.86ghz on 1.42V temps are nearly the same. Prime95 for 6 hours Averaged 58 degrees Celsius it hit 74 once but it dropped down to 55-60 area. Going to stick with this nearly an 80% clock increase and that's satisfying knowing ill only be gaming I wont even hit these temps most likely. Thank you all

Wow!... Fair play mate. Even to hit 74 once is still pretty damn good for that sort of speed!! I have an old 1st gen 17 950 which i am desperate to o/c, but having no experience of o/c'ing i am trying to learn as quick as poss.

One day i will be this brave! lol. Well done man,

K.
