i'm wanting to upgrade my case fans, i have a corsair carbide 400c, so i have two included fans 140mm (front top) and a 120mm (rear). Then i have an 120mm fan that isn't too good at the top. I've bought a silent wing 3 120mm and 140mm fan and I was wondering what the best config is for them.

My CPU cooler is a be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 3

I actually said 1 x 140mm for the top not two, just to place it above the CPU :). I mentioned 2 x 140mm for the front of the case.

I take it that you can't place a 140mm right above the CPU cooler due to the depth of the fan, so you can't place a 120mm either, correct?

In that case I would place 2 x 140mm on the front ,1 x 120mm on the top and 1 x 120mm on the rear.

Corsair pretty much shows you what to do on the Carbide 400c page

Basically in most cases you should have air going in from the front and bottom and going out from the top and the rear.

I would place a 140mm front bottom, a 140mm front top, 140mm top rear and a 120mm on the rear.
