I am using two MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 in SLI

trough my testing i have determined that when VRAM goes above 5 gb i will start having directx crashes saying i am out of memory , also sometimes windows will have an error saying Andromeda.exe memory low . If VRAM stays below 5 gb every thing seems fine but once it goes over 5gb i will crash , my MSI Gaming X GTX 1080 have 8 gb of VRAM but SLI seems to some how be limiting it to 5 gb .

Has anyone encountered anything similar ?

Hm, odd. Are you playing on Ultra? 1080p? 1440p? 4k? ME:A was a bit rushed out and perhaps they haven't done any optimizations/testings for SLI setups. My knowledge on Nvidia drivers are non-existent, but I see they have lately released a driver for SLI support in Andromeda if I'm correct. Are you up to date? Also I would try one GPU at a time and see if the problem reoccurs.

How much RAM do you have? It could be referring to system RAM instead of VRAM. I noticed that after playing for a couple hours last night I had over 10GB of my the 16GB RAM in my PC allocated.

The game could possibly have a memory leak requiring more RAM the longer you play in one sitting. I don't know that this is the case but it has happened with other games in the past.
