Fresh build. No beeps or display from motherboard even without ram.

Motherboard won't make a sound when I boot up the system even without ram sticks installed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Asus B150 pro gaming motherboard

That motherboard needs an updated BIOS to work with a 7th gen processor, otherwise it wont boot/ nothing will happen. You will have to do one of the following:.
Return your 7th Gen for a 6th Gen chip
Buy a cheap 6th gen i3 or pentium and flash the newest version of the BIOS if there is one available that supports 7th Gen processors, then sell the 6th Gen processor.
Return your motherboard and by a b250 instead.

The number is 1806, can't seem to find it on asus' website.

And you need 3016. So, as all others mentioned, you need to update it. (The number on the sticker does not always correspond to BIOS numbers seen on webpage)

Aside from the BIOS, while you are still within your return period, be aware that the Premium you are paying for the 7600k and CPU cooler will result in almost 0 return on your investment. Your RAM speed is also not supported as the B150 pro tops out at 2400 (recent BIOS update may up it a bit)

The k series processor gives you OC ability but the MoBo does not support overclocking. A 7600 w/ stock cooler (4.1 / 4.2 Ghz) and 2400 RAM will perform just as well, outside the slight difference in Turbo frequency

Good idea... that MoBo also has a very substandard audio solution. Might I suggest:

If sticking with last generation stuff

MSI Z170A SLI Plus ($110) ... Adds OC'ing, adds SLI capability and gives you ALC 1150 audio codec which was the last generations standard for gaming boxes ... I wouldn't settle for ALC 887 or 892. Make sure to get latest BIOS. Anandtech wrote that the MSI Z170 SLI Plus "redefined that standard" at the price point

I didn't realize that this hadn't already been mentioned but in my experience, the only way to accomplish this BIOS 'update' if not already installed when purchased was to borrow the older generation CPU, update the BIOS, then take out the last generation CPU and install the current generation one.

Unless things have changes, or unless the board already has it, you'll need access to a 6600k (or equivalent) CPU to do the BIOS update. For that reason, I'd spring for the extra $20 and get Z270.
