I have overclocked my AMD FX-6300 3.5Ghz 6-core CPU to 4.0Ghz, on an AMD stock cooler, with the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard, and I am achieving idle temperatures of around the mid 20s, and on load (CPU-Z bench test) it doesn't go above 63. Is this against the ordinary? or is this expected on my processor? I would just like to know with temps like these is it worth buying a high end cooler? thanks in advance ~K

Solution
I admit I have no personal experience with AMD CPUs, but I think that's a little on the warm side but ultimately OK. I've seen a number of people saying that AMD Overdrive is the best way to monitor temp with FX CPUs though.
