ECC DDR2 RAM won't fit into an ECC DDR2 compatible MoBo

I recently bought a mobo and ram for a cheap NAS, but when I tried to put the thing together, the RAM dimm slots didn't line up. And yes, I made sure both the motherboard and RAM were ECC and desktop.

You may have inadvertently purchased DDR2-FBDIMMs rather than DDR2-UDIMMs or DDR2-RDIMMs. FB-DIMMs use a different mechanical and electrical interface, they are not compatible.
