Whats the best Budget SSD for my Board

Hi, my motherboard is LGA 1155 INTEL DH61CR..
(I know its old but i don't want to replace it. My processor is Core i7 3770.)

Can anyone please suggest a budget SSD? 120Gb will do.

I don't think this Mobo can accommodate a 6Gb/sec since as per spec sheet (Max # of SATA 6.0 Gb/s Ports = Zero)

Get a Samsung EVO 850. And 120 GB is bares minimum.

Thats expensive... Ahm.. would like to ask whats the transfer speed of my motherboard to an ssd? The spec sheet did not include. Also, i would like to ask whats my SATA port is? 2.0 or 3.0? And whats the maximum transfer rate its capable off? If its even capable of ssd... very reluctant here coz this board is quite old and the spec sheet did not specify... thank u

Your boards sata 2 only , an ssd will still be hugely beneficial/faster than a traditional drive though.

Just dont overspend on a top spec model , just about anything apart from a Kingston v300 ( because they're crap) will do , pick the cheapest.

I think it has a SATA II 300MB/s. A SATA 6 Gb/s drive CAN work just fine on a SATA 3 Gb/s port - they are backwards compatible. So don't worry about whether it can work in your machine.

Thank u for all your help... the 04 Sata is 3Gb/s capable. As indicated in the manual... niw i know what SSD to find... 6Gb/s is overkill for my board. Will find a cheaper one within my boards capability... Thanks Guys!

All ssd's you will find I. the current market will be data 3 , 6gbps capable

This is fine , just stick with one of the cheaper brands because speed wise they will all be pretty much the same running on a sata 2 slot.
