Hi,

I mentioned this in one of my other threads but no one seemed to be replying so I thought that I'd make a new one solely for this question.

My question is, will I be able to fit a NZXT Kraken X52 CPU cooler in my rig?

My specs are:

Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming K6 Motherboard
CPU: Intel i7-7700k
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1080
Case: Antec GX 1200

That should be all the specs you need.

I've done a bit of looking around, but I'm a bit confused about this. I have found some contradictory measurements. I checked the specs of the Kraken X52 and it says in one part that it's a 240mm radiator, and in another it says 275mm radiator. It seems to have parts that come off the side that they don't factor into the first measurement, which appear to be the reason for it being 275mm in the second one. I checked the Corsair Hydro Series H105 and it also had two parts on the side that made it equal 272.5mm (it also says it's 240mm), but I was told on my previous thread that the Corsair Hydro Series H105 would fit in my case. Does this mean the Kraken X52 won't fit or will it still be fine? I just want to be sure before spending $200+.

All help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

You have several options to mount the NZXT Kraken X52 (which is also a 240mm-sized radiator). You can mount it at the front (which as a lot of space up to 360mm-sized rads). You can also mount it at the top (which supports 240mm-sized rads).

Note that rads are sized up as 120mm / 240mm / 360mm and so forth which means that the mounting screws are of that size/distances. So, when a case says "supports 120mm / 240mm / 360mm radiator" that means you will have no problem aligning the radiator and/or rad fans on said mounting/screw locations.

The Antec GX1200 has a top bracket for mounting said radiator and/or fans

. You should be able to install a standard-width radiator coming from the bottom and inside this bracket. If the actual length of the radiator is a bit longer than "240mm", it may still fit. Notice that the 240mm screw holes at the top of the bracket are still a distance away from the edges, which means slightly longer than 240mm may fit.

In case the radiator is over-sized (especially the length), you can also install the fans first inside the bracket and then install the radiator below the fans and technically inside the case for a pull configuration.
