powering my gpu

Hi there
I have a problem: i build my first pc and now im affraid
my psu has an 8 pin connector (4+4) and an 6 pin connector (not 6+2)
i need 4 pins for my cpu and 8 for my gpu am i <removed>?
btw im pretty broke i cant buy like an 80 dollar psu

Thats a bad idea. Very likely hes using a cheap PSU, overdrawing it is a recpie for disaster.

Fabio whats the brand and model of your PSU?
 


The 4+4 is for the CPU, so forget all about that.

Maybe...

Some older but good 4-500w psus only came with 1 6pin connector, but had enough power on the 12v rail.
