What CPUs should I get that won't make me regret not waiting for Ryzen 5 to release in my country?

So I was planning to get R5 1600X (which is apparently 69% better in performance than the i5 7600K) but since my PC broke and I'm currently with a crappy CPU (i3-2120) I can't really wait that long to play games I like.. So I'm looking for a CPU which is basically better than the R5 1600X. I'm not planning to overclock as I don't really have any knowledge in it

I do know that changing to Ryzen would require me the CPU,motherboard and RAM but if I want to currently upgrade from my i3-2120 I will need to change the motherboard and RAM anyways if I want good performance.

There is this image comparing the 1600X to the i5-7600K

Dude you have a lot of learning to do here, that graph has nothing to do with pretty much anything, are people actually buying that advertisment crappy graphs?

In gaming 7600k will probably be faster, not by too much tho, and ryzen should be cehaper soooo there you go, you decide how much you want to spend. I would go with ryzen (the cheapest R5) when it comes out just because the price.

I'm pretty new to the PC gaming scene (was on my PS4 till the HDMI port died and then I got an RX470) but I don't really know what to believe :/
I guess I can just go for the 7600K since I don't really want to wait for the Ryzens to release here (Nobody still knows when R7 releases here) but i'll need the CPU to be great at video/photo editing too. Should I just go for the i7 7700? Or will it be an overkill for editing too? I'd prefer having the same CPU for a longer time period, upgrading my GPU first and then replacing it

I will mostly game but I'm interested in getting into pretty heavy video and photo editing (3D rendering too), should I just go with an i7 7700K or will it be an overkill for editing too?
