Power off, still supplying current

I recently built a rig and i wanna know when i shut it down after turning off, as we all know ROG maximus still holds power and light up the on board jumper button and led near heatsink, but my keyboard light and gaming mouse rgb is still on until i switch of the socket button. Is it normal that mobo giving supply to peripherals and light them up even if pc has been shut down??

I totally disagree with Ironsounds. Many recent mobos have a setting in bios so that the USB ports have power, even when the PC is turned off, i.e. you can charge your cell phone, etc. On Gigabyte mobos, there's a setting call ErP in the power management section of the BIOS. The default state is disabled. This allows USB power when shutdown. Enabling this feature shuts down the USB power as well (sort of negative logic). Your Asus mobo has a similar feature, but it's called something else. Look thru your mobo's manual in the bios power section. Flip the feature in the bios and your peripherals will power down, too.

it depends on your key board and mouse. I had an old Coolmaster set that would stay lit. it was annoying. Also when my power goes out and comes back on for the house my keyboard and mouse light up even with pc off.

Thanks. I will look up for it in BIOS. That charging thing make sense.
