Hello,
I got i5 6600 and gigabyte h110m s2h !
I installed a gigabyte app and then I downloaded System Information Viewer program from gigabyte's page. So when the program starts it's says "calibrate your fan" or something like this ... after that I am pressing ok and then my fan is going at full speed and I am closing this program immediately. Will this program damage any of my fans or something? What is calibration doing to my fans?
Sorry for my bad English !

Solution

Your fan spinning at 100% is not bad in a short term sense. Over the course of a year, yeah, it's going to wear down the bearings. Running it at 100% for a few minutes while it's calibrating your fan won't hurt it. They're built to handle that 100%.
