Hello, recently built a pc and am having issues with my monitor. Its an AOC E2270S, and i have a gigabyte H110M-H motherboard and a gtx 1060.

Simply put whenever i plug in the vga cable from the monitor into the mobo all i get is a "no signal" message from the monitor, ive put the cable in 10x and am sure its on correctly, theres also no button to change the source so i dont think thats the problem. Should i get another vga cable to see if thats the problem or should i get a hdmi to vga adaptor and plug straight into my 1060? Ty

Edit- i bought a hdmi to vga converter and it didnt work, someone told me it was because it didnt have an audio output? Any ideas? Going to get a dvi-vga converter soon to try

Will there be a drop in quality from using an HDMI with the gpu? I'm considering just sending the monitor back and getting one with an HDMI input but that's gonna come out more expensive then i can afford..
