Can't find 5 ghz band with ASUS N53

Hi,

I have an ASUS N53 wifi adapter to my computer. The thing is that it won't detect my 5ghz signal from my router. I visited ASUS website but there are no new drivers for it and no drivers for Windows 10. Any suggestions?

Wow, never seen a n300 device that was dual band.

How far away is your 5ghz router? The nature of the 5ghz band is that it can not penetrate walls as well and thus wont cause the same kind of interference with neighbors like the 2.4 band does.

What channel is the 5Ghz using. Some devices dont support the extended range of channels.
