I have a 250gb SSD drive with windows 10 on it. It is 90% full. I purchased a 2TB HHD drive and cloned the SSD drive to it. It is now my primary drive. I would like to know, how do I now set up the SSD drive to be a boot drive and use the HDD drive for storage.
Questions
1: do I reformat the SSD
2: Partitions on SSD
3: If I reformat reinstall Windows 10?
4: how to direct windows 10 to store files on the HDD drive

Solution
You can reformat and reinstall windows on it but than you'd have to reinstall all programs again.
This doesn't pertain only to SSDs but also to any drive combination of same sizes:
Best to have windows and select few programs that directly benefit from being on SSD to be installed on secondary (larger drive). In most programs/games you can choose where to install them during their installation. Some parts may be still installed on OS/system drive but bulk would be on secondary drive.
You can also set web browsers to download files to secondary drive and make folders on it to hold personal files. That can save a lot of space n primary (OS/system) drive.
Let's say you want to save a picture in Windows, just choose "Save as" and point to...

Let's say you want to save a picture in Windows, just choose "Save as" and point to a folder in second drive and all other pictures of same type will automatically save to that folder from now on. Same goes for music, video etc.
