1060 3gb or 6gb?

If it's the 1060 6GB go the 1060, if it's the 3GB i would personally consider the 970. The GTX 1060 6GB is closer to a GTX 980 than a 970 but it depends what you are trying to achieve. A GTX 970 should be a great card for 1080p Medium/High settings in modern games but a GTX 1060 6GB would be closer to 1080p High/Ultra or a modest 1440p card. Just go with what will suit your games and situation better without wasting money on way more than you need. Hope this helps

I just think 3gb leaves no headroom @ 1080p for future games, some can already hit 3gb. Plus the 3gb is a weaker/gimped card.

The 1060 is 6gb. The 970 is 4gb. Looking to play at 1080p 60hz high/ ultra

I think in performance per dollar, that 970 is a better deal. Whether or not it's adequate for your needs is a separate question.

edit: Just saw your last post, I'd go with the 970 but then I'm a budget gamer

For me its the 1060 6gb. Slightly faster in DX11, much better at DX12 and lots of spare VRAM for the future
