Won't POST or display

I just built a computer and it runs, but it won't post and nothing gets displayed, just a blank screen.
CPU: I5 7500
Motherboard: MSI B150 PC Mate
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz 1x8GB
CPU Cooler: Stock
Video Card: GTX 1050

So, I bought some parts to build a computer, and after I put it together I tried to boot it. It started up, fans run, but it did not POST and the screen was blank, on the EZ debug LED, it did pause on red for DRAM for a few seconds, then go off. I was constantly discharging my static, and I already checked the struts for the mobo, made sure everything was plugged in, etc. All the stuff it tells you to check before you're supposed to post.

I tried VGA & DVI for both the motherboard and video card, I only have one RAM, but I put it in the DIMM2 slot. I removed the Video card and RAM, and it posted signaling that the RAM was not found, and the EZ LED stayed a solid red.

I'm thinking maybe it's the RAM or the motherboard?

Solution
You need a 6th generation Intel Skylake CPU to flash the BIOS in order to use 7th generation Kaby Lake CPUs like the i5 7500. A Celeron G3900 is about $50.

Okay, I just ordered the processor yesterday, and I guess we'll have to wait and see....

EDIT: I got the processor, flashed the BIOS, then put in the better processor, (after fixing other problems) and it worked, thank you.
