Building a PC instead of console

I'm looking to build a small form factor PC to use in the dining room.

I wanted to build a PC instead of buying a console because I don't want to pay fees for playing online. I also want to utilise my steam/origin/uplay accounts.

It will be used for gaming primarily and for streaming movies on to a 42" 1080P LED.

My son wants to play Minecraft and a few other kids games.
My end goal is being able to play Battlefield 1 from the dining table with a wireless KB and mouse. I have bought a couple of wireless Xbox One controllers to use on this PC.

I'm trying to keep the prices down, here's what I'm thinking:

Intel Pentium G4560
A̶S̶R̶o̶c̶k̶ H̶1̶1̶0̶M̶-̶I̶T̶X̶ (̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ n̶e̶w̶e̶g̶g̶)̶ I̶'̶m̶ h̶o̶p̶i̶n̶g̶ t̶h̶e̶ B̶I̶O̶s̶ i̶s̶ u̶p̶d̶a̶t̶e̶d̶ t̶o̶ a̶c̶c̶o̶m̶m̶o̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ K̶a̶b̶y̶ L̶a̶k̶e̶ MSI B250I Pro Mini ITX
CPU cooler (won't have the money for liquid so probably just a budget box cooler)
MSI GTX 1050 2GB OC
Crucial DDR4 2133 2x4GB
HDD & SSD (I have a couple of 120GB SSD's lying around and plenty of spare 2.5" HDD's)
I have a Silverstone 500W 80+ PSU pulled from another HTPC
Silverstone Raven RVZ01-E case

I will use all three 120mm fan slots, cooling might be a concern?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Dan.

P.S I am in New Zealand so the prices of components will differ from other countries.

If you want a Kaby Lake you should get a Z270 or B250 mobo. Otherwise you'll have to update the BIOS first

And you cant because it wont post with a H110, B150 or Z170 mobo. Unless you update the BIOS first

Unless you take it to a shop and get them to update the BIOS with a Skylake CPU first

That mobo needs the latest BIOS to support that CPU

1151 Pentium G4560(B0) Kaby Lake 3.5GHz BCLK 100MHz 3MB 54W P7.00

Asrock says the H110M supports 7th Gen but like you said that's after you flash with a 6th Gen which would be a giant PITA. Yeah I was wondering when the updated H110M boards are being shipped, it must be close. I will message Newegg and see if they can shed any light on this.

The next out of the box Kaby Lake supported Mini ITX MB is $42NZD more.

Flashing the BIOS is easy if you have a Sky Lake chip lying around. It looks like I will just follow Paul NZ's advise and get a B250 or H270 MB.
