Hello, i have i5 3450,rx480.
I see i get less performance with my cpu as its 4 years old.
So its time to upgrade i think.
Can you help me which cpu to buy from intel.
I5 7600 or i5 6500k or something like this...
I only want cpu for gaming..i dont overclock but would prefer high ghz ...
I want to to be future proof.
Please suggest a good cpu also with good motherboard

You don't really need the 'Best' gaming CPU. They all perform so close to each other it's pointless to pay a premium just to have the best. I say get a Ryzen 5 1400 or 1600. I believe they are going to be a much better value than the Core i5 or Core i7 7700K. Ryzen is behind slightly in gaming performance but trust me it's nothing you would ever notice or care about unless you just absolutely love having the best computer. And that's how some people are. They love watching that frame rate sore and they love thinking that they have the best computer money can buy. Here's the thing though. If you're not rich then that party won't last very long. If you can afford it the i7 7700k is currently the best gaming chip. What games do you play/want to play? What resolution monitor and fps do you play with? Some games are very CPU demanding and have been optimized for 8 thread CPU's and this could become more common in the future.

Depending on the answers to those questions Intel may be better than Ryzen for you. What else do you do with your PC?

i only want to game on my pc,
i have 1080 p gaming monitor
rx 480 4 gb
i am thinking to get i7 6700 or i7 7700 both same price, which one should i go for?
i7 6700 +mobo combo will be cheaper for me,but 7th gen is 10% faster.....

The i7 6700 would still be very good but getting the latest gen would probably be better. There might be some advantages to the newer Kaby Lake chipset's but I'm not sure exactly what. Also I'd recommend getting the K version of either processor if possible as overclocking can be beneficial especially for gaming going forward.

PS: I hope I haven't pressured you into going for the i7 as I know you were initially considering i5. I personally think the i7 would be more future proof depending on what games you want to play but if it's really not your budget we can discuss something else.

We've had several new GPU kings within the last year. If you bought your PC 1 year ago You'd have to spend $1000 on a Titan X (Maxwell) then later that year if you still wanted the best PC you had to spend $700 on a GTX 1080. After that the Titan X (Pascal) came out so there's another $1200 and finally the GTX 1080 ti has came out and that's another $700. So there's $3600 just on GPUs. You have to spend your money smartly unless you have a very large amount. Of course if you're like me and you upgrade often it might be a smarter idea to lease your graphics card from https://cuttingedgegamer.com/products/

I brought an i7 7700 out of desperation i had an budget for i5 but i was getting i7 7700 for 50 dollars more......and the 7700k version was 80 dollar costlier than 7700 ....so ..... I hope it will run well for 3 more years
