Hello everyone, I feel like I messed up

Last week I purchased an Intel I7 7700K with an ASrock B150M- HDV and 2400 mhz Corsair Vengeance(Motherboard says it only supports 2133 but i feel like that will be fine?)

Put it together and ensured all the cords from the psu were secured well and everything was looking good, then I turned it on and it just wouldnt display anything. Fans were spinning lights on etc

Then I found this

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B150M-HDV/?cat=CPU

My motherboard says P.60 on it as the bios version and the 7700k needs P.700

Do I need to update the bios before my i7 will work? Is this my issue?

Solution
You need to update the BIOS using a 6th-gen Skylake CPU in order for you to use the 7th-gen Kaby Lake CPU you have.

One option is to get the cheapest Skylake CPU such as the Celeron G3900 at ~$43 or Pentium G4400 at ~$57), boot up your mobo, update its BIOS, then put back your Kaby Lake CPU. Sell or keep the Skylake CPU as you wish.

But to be frank, a better option is just to exchange that ASRock B150M with a Z270M motherboard, as you have an unlocked CPU (i7-7700K) capable of overclocking. The B150 motherboards does not support overclocking that CPU you have; the Z270 does.

Another option, if you do not want to overclock, is to exchange the i7-7700K with a locked Skylake CPU (such as an i7-6700).

All above options to resolve the...
