Since I got my new desktop last week I was going to give my old desktop to my sista.
Her mobo and CPU was worse than mine (mine was i7 870 with p7p55lx mobo), So I moved her ODD and 2 HDDs to mine.
So.. specification is... CPU: I7 870 / Motherboard: ASUS p7p55lx / 8GB / 1TB HDD / VGA: don't remember
But here the trouble began. When trying to boot up, 'missing operating system' shown. I googled, found this page and checked almost every articles but none of it worked. Somehow, I just took 2nd HDD out (it has no boot file inside) and it boots up with no problem! I thought either SATA cable or 2nd HDD must have problem. But after all, I find out that both are all fine.
Then I checked BIOS settings. On the main menu, I can tell my mobo recognizes 2nd HDD. So I checked boot priority and #1 ODD, #2 1st HDD (Win 7 here) #3 removable dev. /
Did I miss anything? I'm almost a newbie in this area so any guide will be very helpful!
Thank you for reading!
