Hi,

So today I switched from cases and when finished my computer went on and off again. After a few hours i figured out it was the RAM.

At first, only 2 out of 4 ram sticks worked. After removing the CPU and cooler and placing them back on there 3 out of 4 sticks worked again.

As soon as I now put in a 4th RAM stick, It does not matter in which order I put them in, my pc goes on, and then off again, and repeats this.

My specs:
i7-4770K
MSI z97 Gaming 7 motherboard
16GB Vengeance Ram
3TB HDD WD Blue
750watt PSU
Asus GTX 970 Strix

Thanks!

Solution

Boot to the bios with 2 sticks only, set ram speed, voltage and timings, make sure command rate is set to 2T or 3T, power down and add the other 2 sticks, see if that works.
