Hi all, I've compiled a gaming PC build, it's my first build and the total checks out at just over £1,500, just wondering what you guys think of all the parts and if you think anything needs changing, price isn't much of an issue but if you'd try to keep it around the same price for each individual component that'd be great, thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Dylan

Solution
Drop the CPU cooler as you are using a non-overclockable CPU and a 1070 will not be able to show its true colors at 1080p 60hz. A 144hz monitor would be better at 1080p or go for a 1440p monitor. Looks good otherwise.

agree on the CPU cooler
disagree on the 1070
PSU is pretty poor, wouldn't trust that one in my system. also: heavily overpriced.
talking about overpriced: unless the WiFi signal is really bad, a 70$ WiFi card is overspending
overall pretty poor value choices, I'd probably go for something like this - less aesthetically pleasing but makes room for better performance:

Wi-Fi will need a strong card cause it's far from the router, pretty surprised about your thoughts on the PSU, how come you wouldn't go for it?

I'll be getting a 1440p monitor instead, was a little stupid to have 1080p 60

Cheers for the help!

because the CSM is a pretty bad unit?
just because it's Corsair & Gold efficiency rated doesn't mean it's a good unit.
the primary side is pretty weak and has no surge protection, secondary caps are Teapo & Elite (ugh), no DC-DC converters
for 2017 this is pretty poor, especially when you get an excellent unit for like 12bucks more.
