I call myself a computer geek (since 1983), but I'm far from a network specialist.
I woke up and updated my laptop (dorming for a couple of months). I run a full "package" of updating and security tests on my laptop (36 hrs..) AVG I S, Reason Core. MalvareBytes)...and then tested the Internet speed.
I also ran AVG PC TuneUP Utilites on both computers.
Speedtest.net gave me ca 500/500 Mbps for my desktop, but only 100/100 for the laptop (Samsung Ultra 740U). Both are cabled.
You will probably need more info, but I don't know where to begin...
