Help with installing a new cpu

I currently have a i3 and a asus strix rx480 I'm planning to get a i5 6500 later on this year for streaming on twitch playing games school work and some other things question is do I need to do anything when I swamp out the CPUs like update bios or re install Windows 10 or something never done this so I'm asking anyone why can help

+1 current BIOS and double check supported processor list. then goto youtube and watch a few videos showing CPU install.

The standard intel heatsink screws turn backwards of how you think they would, so be careful not to force them. Turned the right way they work easily.

No need for windows install, windows will have the right drivers for the MB and will detect and configure correctly for the i5.

The i3 is likely still valuable. You can ebay it or keep it in the package the i5 came in (anti-static). Use coffee filters and rubbing alcohol to clean off the old headsink and i3 CPU before storing.
