Hello! Recently bought an gtx 1080 ti founders edition (evga) and i'm have some issues with temps.

Under load, temps goes quikly to 80°c-84°c.

There's something i can do to improve the cooling of the card?

I'm thinking on attach an 120mm fan behind the card (where hdmi, dp plugs are placed) to take air from outside and make it pass trough the card helping the blower (some air pressure would help?)

Please and thanks :(

Solution
The stock target temperature of 84c is perfectly safe and as Nvidia designed the card to operate. If you have the temperatures at 72c you have nothing to worry about.
I would it say it's somewhat normal for a blower style cooler. The end is for air to be exhausted out, so I would not use a fan to push air back into the back of the card.
EVGA will be releasing their Hybrid kit for the 1080ti which is one option for improving cooling. Another alternative is getting another third party AIO cpu cooler or a third party air cooler for your gpu.

You can run a more aggressive fan curve using msi afterburner.
Make sure there is airflow going into the case.
There isn't much you can do as that is the limitation of the blower style cooler.

Use msi afterburner to change the fan speed curve into "user define". This will make the fan spins faster, effectively reducing your temp.

For some reason the stock fan curve is very low.

I just received two EVGA 1080Ti founders edition.

I installed EK waterblocks and backplates and put them in my custom loop, replacing two 980 Ti classified in the same configuration.

One 1080 Ti stays below 60C at max use (when benchmarking or stress testing).

The other gets to the 80s C immediately, and goes up to 93C after a few minutes.

When gaming, one stays below 50C and the other goes to the low to mid 80s.

I have switched blocks and switched positions to no avail. One card is just a fail.

The card throttles at 83C, so I don't think your temps are OK. You may just have a bunk unit like one of mine. I would exchange it with your retailer if possible, or contact EVGA if it's too late to do that. That's what I will be doing when I have the time to disassemble/reassemble everything again.

Changed the fan curve with msi afterburner, and full load temps never go above 72° c, this is good for an 1080 ti Founders Edition? 72 c is a safe temp under full Load? (Playing Battlefield 1 4k near 60 fps, ultra settings)

I'm late to the party but for what it's worth in my personal experience adding a fan to blow cool air at a blower style cooler doesn't help. I put a bottom fan blowing up into the intake - nothing. I created a circular cardboard duct from the fan straight into the intake - no better.
