Installing a new CPU (i7-7700k)while moving the heatsink around a bit of paste got under the CPU (where the gold pins are right near the edge). I gently used a clean towel to remove it but you can still kind of see a bit of residue indicated by some slightly darker gold pins.
Is this an issue and is there anything I can do?
