Hello good people,

I am planning on building a gaming desktop that would hopefully last very long, that is silent and that can play anything at 1440p at 120hz (120fps) on ultra or at least high.

The budget is 5000$ CAD including everything (monitor as well, but no mouse or keyboard).

-I am also thinking of SLI if it's possible and convenient to increase the lifespan of the desktop.

-I will be buying the components online. (NCIX or Newegg)

-I live in Canada. (British Columbia)

-I will be overclocking CPU and GPU most probably, although at this budget level it shouldn't be a problem. It won't be anything crazy anyway. (Water cooling)

-I will be buying the components this summer (June or July 2017).

-I will need to buy an OS. Windows obviously. Probably 10.

Thank you guys in advance for your help. The budget is flexible. It can stretch for some hundreds.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/vmJ7gL. Just a quick partlist probably a few tweaks here and there to be made by yourself or others i suppose. As already mentioned though, this would change within that time such as Aftermarket 1080 Ti's will be out as well as some new CPUs (Ryzen 5 and such) which will switch up the market. Just made this as a reference for you. I tried making it as "future focused" as possible but note this doesn't really mean a whole lot in the rapidly evolving PC world. I recommend you get others on here to look over this as i chucked it together pretty quickly probably a few tweaks could be made here and there. :)

Im really not helping with this comment but I do not understand why you would want to spend this crazy amount of money on your pc. I mean, even if you were a youtuber and a streamer and an editor, a pc worth of ~4500$ will probably be a complete overkill. Most of the streamers, youtubers and video editors use a standard gtx 1080 build and They dont really need anything more...
I'm not sitting here trying to tell you what to do with your money, but a standard titanx build with an intel i7 7700k with a proper overclock will probably be more than enough for 1440p gaming at a good fps.
That's just my opinion though.
