I have a 3 TB external hard drive that I recently purchased. I would like to use it to store WIM images, in addition to other files. I would also like it to be bootable to Windows PE for the purpose restoring and taking images. Is this possible? I've tried recently with no luck. What is the smallest partition that I can have on the drive? What file format does it need to be? Can I have two partitions with two different file formats. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Try with Macruim Reflect free and let it make rescue/restore/boot disk on it. It uses PE and will leave more than enough storage on that disk, it's very small.
