Stuck in boot cycle after swapping out CPU...boot cycle still happens when switching back to old cpu

I wanted to upgrade my cpu (for a long complicated unrelated reason), but in the process, my system now stays in a boot loop. I didn't change anything else with the system when swapping out the CPU so I am trying to isolate the problem

Specs (When system was working)

Cpu: i5-6600k
Mobo: Gigabyte z170x ultra gaming, flashed to F22 bios.

When I replaced the CPU with a i5-7600k, the system would not boot and power cycled. I was confused why this would happen and I initially thought this may be due to some issue with the bios, as it is a newer one and the intel 7000's series might not be supported.

Then I swapped back to my old i5-6600K, and I found that my system had the same issue in that configuration, ie would power cycle after ~10-15 seconds.

I tried resetting the cmos with jumpers/removing the battery but that did not seem to solve this boot cycling issue. Currently I'm stumped as to what happened, and I wonder if I am missing something obvious? I haven't checked my other hardware on my rig, but I haven't changed anything else since it was previously bootable, so I did not think the other hardware could be an issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Solution
Good question. Altho I dont think the pins on that cpu are like older CPU's theyre flatter. So maybe harder to bend

You may need a magnifying glass to see if any are bent lol

Anything non metallic should unbend them if any are bent

Yep, found and the bent the pin back, dropped the CPU in and everything is working fine again. Thanks for the suggestion! (I also needed to use a 5x scope to find the pin
