Maybe someone could help me out here, so I recently decided to get into SLI and bought a second gtx 1080 SC. so I'm running gigabyte ga-x99-sli motherboard, i7 5930k, 24gb of ram , 2 gtx 1080 SC in SLI and a 1000 watt power supply. Im running triple Asus pb287q monitors.Don't know if it matters but as of right now I'm running just one sli bridge the ribbon cable one that came with my mother as I am waiting for my hb bridge to arrive. So my issue is I go to nvidia panel, set my surround up and I do the whole configuration and it works well, then randomly 2 of the monitors shut down and it reverts to a single screen then I have to do the whole set up again and I notice that in the panel it reverts back to maximum 3d performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

another issue I have is with the audio, I'm running a 5.1 surround sound and I set it as my default sound device but randomly it changes to my monitors which have speakers and they are connected thru display ports on graphics card. Any help once again would be greatly appreciated

Would it be the sli bridge causing this issue? It's getting real annoying, it just randomly disables surround and it reverts to single monitor, I've tried changing all kinds of setting but to no avail.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

So I followed Nvidia suggestion on which way to plug the monitors for sli, so far it's been staying in surround so that problem has been fixed, now I'm having issue were the center monitor image goes black for a split second and the image comes back, it does it randomly. The monitor does not lose single as its still on.

So I have center monitor plugged to GPU 1 and the other 2 monitors plugged to GPU 2. I replace the sli bridge and didnot help, I switch the monitor cables, I plugged center monitor to GPU 2 and left and right monitor to GPU 1 and problem followed center monitor, still for a split second it goes black and the image returns . I replaced the display port cable on center monitor and still have the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry if this is a dumb question but is the primary GPU the one I placed I'm pci e slot 1 or the one that Nvidia panel shows as number 1?

Because the card I have in pci e slot 1 is shown in nvidia panel as GPU 2.

I had the the monitors plugged to the one closest to the CPU but the panel kept showing it as GPU 2, so now I followed the instructions and plugged all monitors to the one that Nvidia panel says is GPU 1, the center monitor does not go black, but the issue I get when the monitors are plugged into a single GPU is that after I setup surround a few minutes later at random the option reverts back to maximum 3d performance then it goes to single monitor and I have to set up surround again. Is this normal? The other work around I use for this issue it to press the hot keys Ctrl + alt + s

I believe I have got most of the issues taken care off, except for one that is getting annoying. I set up my monitors in surround and about 5 minutes later it reverts back to single screen, would any one know what is causing this issue? I use the hot keys

Ctrl + alt + s to bring back surround but like I mentioned it reverts back to single after a few minutes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
