Hmm. I have just under 900$. It will be the first pc I build. I want solid 1080p gaming with a gpu also capable of decent 1440p gaming, if I ever get into that. On the cpu side I want a nice gaming experience with capability of a good editing and streaming experience.
Cpu choices: i5-7500, i5-7600k, i7-7700, i7-67/7700k, ryzen 5 1600, ryzen 5 1500x.
Gpu choices: rx 480 8gb, gtx 1070, rx 480 4gb
I also know that the rx 500 series is coming out in just about a week after ryzen 5 launch, but I am too impatient. If i went for a ryzen 5 and an rx 480, I could use the leftover money on 16gb of ram and a bigger hdd or ssd.

+ Ryzen 5

Ryzen is great for streaming and addicting as well as quite good for gaming.
In 2-3 weeks will rx 500 come out so u should make this thread again, because in 2-3 weeks things may change.

I'd go with a Ryzen 5 1600X.

6 cores & 12 threads is actually more than an i7 for less money.
When only gaming the 7700k will deliver more frames (maximum frames) but when recording or streaming Ryzen will produce better average frames and editing is so much faster.

For 1440p a 1070 is recommended. Going with a Rx480+medium settings is possible, I recommend getting the 8GB VRam version though.

If you can stretch your budget for a few bucks (you'll always be able to add an HDD later) or look around for some good deals:

drop the HDD and add it later (or the ssd and add it later, be sure to make a 220GB partition on your HDD to move it to the SSD later)

Does the psu need to be that one? Evga 600b for 58€. I can also pick a 128gb m.2 ssd, because it is preferred to get the price down to around 800-850€. I have a pc case that I am going for already here in my house, so that might help with it. I also need to buy a monitor. 1080p, preferably 22-24", price somewhere under 120€, freesync would be a nice added bonus. Do you have any recommendations from amazon.de? They have free shipping to Finland where I live.
The monitor is not included in the 800-850€ price. I will count that in later. Sorry if this is getting confusing.

well the XFX Pro is a superb unit that comes with a long lifespan (mine is in it's 8th year without problems) and is made by Seasonic, which is known to only do quality PSUs.
the EVGA 600b is a budget unit made by HEC who haven't made a single really decent unit ever. Will it work with the EVGA? Sure. is it wise to cut cost there? well, opinions differ.
see the PSU as the fuel injector of a car. you wouldn't pair the fuel injector of a old soviet car with the engine of a new Porsche. I'd personally go for the XFX rather as it's clearly the superior unit for rougly 18€ extra.

as for cheaper SSDs, go with SATA rather than with M.2. cheaper M.2 SSDs are usually the same speed.

as for screens, freesynch below 120€ is mostly junk.
In that price range I'd look at LG or Samsung. I'm using an old LG myself that was 120€ back in the day and I have to say, I like it far more than the BenQs I got at work that were most certainly more expensive.

looking at Amazon:
24'' IPS Freesync is 145€ https://www.amazon.de/Samsung-S24F350FHU-Zoll-Full-HD-Monitor/dp/B01BCF0006/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1490536338&sr=1-1&keywords=S24F350FHU
otherwise scrolling through Amazon Asus looks like the best bet comapring price/availability

Well, I found a deal on an xfx p1-500w xtfr psu (41€), so I really can not pass on that. It cannot be that bad. And my local store has a deal on a samsung 23,6" freesync monitor, so that is my pick for that. Thanks for helping, really helped with my decisions.
