Will Rx480 work with my mothboard?

Hello everyone, I'm running some fairly dated hardware but wanted to update my GFX card before I dropped cash on the rest. I'm wondering if someone can tell me if my motherboard will even support an Rx 480?

GIGABYTE GA-MA770-UD3 Rev 1.0

Socket AM2/AM2+/AM3 / AMD Chipsets / DDR2 1066 Memory / 1 PCIe2.0 x16 / 4 PCIe x1 / 1 PATA 2 device Max / 4 SATA / ATX From Factor

PSU is a 550W Rosewill. I know I'll need a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter to get that to work.

CPU is a Phenom II X4 840. I'm sure the GFX will be severely bottlenecked but I still expect a bump up from my current 6850.
