7700k Stock Temps with an h115i

I have some questions regarding my CPU temperatures in my newly built system. My i7 7700k temps seem a bit on the higher side so I'm starting to wonder if I didn't install my h115i AIO correctly or if it's faulty or something. I'm running it stock aswell.

Idle temps are 30-35C (which is a little more than 10C above ambient)

During gaming load it has an average temp of anywhere from 55-65. Also worth noting is that my liquid temps never go above 36C even when my CPU is 65C average, I don't know what the liquid temps are supposed to be so any clarification would be helpful.

It also spikes temperatures really fast if I do something as simple as opening Chrome, it goes from like 35C to 50C in an instant then goes back down. I've heard this is common with these
chips and that it is some new feature called Speed something.

Those temps look really good, especially the prime ones, you have nothing to worry about, these chips run hot anyway due to the cheap rubbish TIM that Intel use under the IHS.

Perfectly normal for the 7700K. Your powers of perception and observation are truly epic. The 7700K has gained a bad reputation as far as its temperatures are concerned. You are witnessing that phenomenon and are correct in asking the gods if you should be concerned and my answer to you is no.

SpeedSomething? Speedstep? That isn't new. Nor is the temperature fluctuations due to CPU throttling in favor of electrical efficiency among other benefits. You must be referring to speedshift. That moves the throttle control from the OS over to the CPU which improves the efficiency of that efficiency feature. The processor's speed is adjusted according to its workload.

I use http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/intelburntest.html to test for stability and see the top end of my CPU's temperature range.
