RAM Speed Query

Hello, when I finished my build for my PC, I had 16gb (2x8gb) 3000MHz RAM and I inserted another 16gb (2x7gb) 3200MHz.

I understand using different speed RAM can cause issues but from my understanding they would run at the lower speed of the two (if I'm correct) so should they not be running at 3000MHz rather than the 4 dimms running at 2133MHz?

Thank you!

Ok, from the main menu in BIOS choose 'AI tweaker'>'AI overclock tuner' and set up Manual instead of XMP. This should open 'DRAM frequency option'. Change that from Auto to 3000. Save and Exit. And hope this will work, otherwise you will be stuck with 2133.
Important Note: if comp fails to boot after the change, you will have to reset CMOS (unless that mobo is smart enough to recover from error on its own).
