That a really great set up for 1080p. It'll last you a couple years for sure. How much are you paying for it? I'd be testing games mostly. You can download msi afterburner and test the temps (below 80 deg is ideal). Find out what game you are playing look at comparable benchmarks online and check those. The 1060 should be able to max out pretty much any game in 1080p. Using msi afterburner is really easy to use. https://www.msi.com/blog/setting-up-osd-with-msi-afterburner. This guide should help with the on screen display.

As an example, here's what you can buy brand new.

Thank you!
Any tip to test the PC when i go tomorrow? Or i just check if all the parts are on PC and go for it!

I would use http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/intelburntest.html and http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

That would be one of the quickest ways to test for stability(change from standard to Maximum after you have the program open) and see the PC's temperatures and much more.

That's an incredible deal. Just be careful.

Thank you this is very helpful , if i try maximum whats is the " ok " temperature ?

As long as it stays under 85C I would be satisfied. That is not a good temperature for gaming, idle or any other every-day task. A normal idle temp is in the 20s to 30s. During gaming or productivity tasks the temps shouldn't go any higher than 65.

Hello , thank you very much , now i think i am ready to go and talk to him.

Just a last thing , i need to open the " CUPID HW Monitor " first then start testing with " Intelburn test " after i start with intel burn test i should set the " maximum " and see the temperature changing at the " CUPID HW ".

I should set the " maximum "
Times to run " 10 "
and press Start.

Then i should monitor my temp on the " CUPID HW " and if the temp does not go more than 85C i should be ok ?

And wait about 10-15 minutes until its done ?

Thanks again

The student is now the teacher. You are exactly right. HwMonitor remembers the minimum and maximum temperatures too. You can watch the individual cores as well. Sometimes one core is significant hotter than the other. A 10C spread is normal. Any more than that probably means the heatsink needs to be reseated.

With the CPU test complete it is time to move over to testing out the GFX card. You can leave HwMonitor open. The GPU's info is further down HwMonitor's window. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/download-unigine-heaven-benchmark.html will push the GPU similar to the way that burn test did your CPU. The temperature should stay under 80C. I just ran it and my EVGA 970 FTW hovered between 66c and 67c. You shouldn't see any abnormalities which are aka artifacts.

GPU and CPU are healthy? The RAM is next.Click start (Windows icon) and type "mdsched.exe" without the quotes. Allow the PC to restart and let the test run. Watch for errors.

You are investing $750. Allowing you to run these tests shows a bit about his character and confidence in the rig's performance abilities. Taking time to make sure everything is in working order is no different than taking a car out for a test drive. There really isn't any room for negotiation imo. The very first question should be does it have an operating system. Then you can move on to asking him about testing it. You can click Start(Windows icon) and type "winver" without the quotes to check the build. It should be version 1607(OS Build 14393.969) or later. It will also show you to whom the OS is licensed to. That's the muddy part of buying a PC from someone else. You don't have any control over the licensing side of things unless you install a fresh copy of Windows 10.
