I have a 500 GB HDD.
A few weeks ago, I was playing Just Cause 2 then the game hanged and the whole pc hanged no keyboard buttons were functioning.
So I plugged the CPU off and connected it again but after the DELL loading screen A message showed " No bootable device is availible "
I tried rebooting many times but still the same message.
I checked the HDD it was spinning as fine as ever.
I checked the BIOS but the HDD wasn't appearing there it also showed the capacity to be unknown.
I opened the Case again to check the cables but all were fine.
I exchanged the cables but still same problem.
Please Help Me !!

agree failed hard drive. Bummer.

This surprised me a bit "I checked the BIOS but the HDD wasn't appearing there it also showed the capacity to be unknown." Not sure how you got unknown capacity on a HDD that wasn't appearing.

If the HDD is showing up in BIOS then it's possible that your MBR got hit, and the rest of the drive is working. Download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic and see if it can see the drive. (e.g. if the drive is "western digital" then download something from WD, if its a seagate then... etc). But if the HDD is not in the BIOS then don't bother with this.

If the HDD is not appearing in the BIOS then your last try (given you've already swapped cables) is to try a different SATA port on the MB, but this is very low chance of success.

If this is a WIN10 system then you just buy a new HDD (maybe an SSD if you are only using 500GB) then download Win10 using "media creation kit" then install win10. Windows will find the right drivers and will recognize your PC hardware and re-link with your licence.

You don't have to *do* anything to kill a hard drive. It's a physical device, sometimes they just die. That's why a constant backup solution for the important data is a basic part of PC maintenance, so that when it happens, you're out nothing but a mild annoyance.
