Hello,

I want to build a gaming pc that is decent from some old parts that I have and i'm willing to buy some new ones

-The parts that I own are:
* GPU: gtx 760 SC nvidia
* RAM: corsair 1600mhz DDR3 (4x2)
* HDD: 1 TB Black WD

- The parts that I'll buy are:
* Motherboard: ROG ASUS STRIX Z270H GAMING - Intel LGA-1151 ATX
* CPU: Intel Boxed Core I5 6500 FC-LGA14C 3.20 Ghz 6 M Processor Cache 4 LGA 1151
* CASE: Corsair Carbide 100R Window Mid-Tower Computer Case
* SSD: Toshiba A100 120GB Solid State Drive SSD
* PSU: XFX 500W XT Series Full Wired 80+ Bronze ATX 500 Power Supply
* FAN: Corsair Air Series SP140 LED Red High Static Pressure 53.00 212.00 140mm Fan (is it necessary or can I add it anytime later?)

note: I'm not sure if this motherboard support DDR3 1600mhz ram.
I'm not using a DDR4 because I already own this ram and its for a beginner gamer I can upgrade it anytime, if there is anyway I can make it cheaper I would appreciate it i'm on a tight budget.

Thank you for your time in advance ^^ ~

That CPU will run on the following motherboards H110, H170, H270, Z170, Z270. The CPU will run at exactly the same speed regardless of the motherboard.
A H110 is good enough for the PC you are building, a H270 will allow more upgrades in the future. Compare the prices. I recommend Asus or Gigabyte motherboards
I suggest you get 2x8Gb RAM kit, you will need the memory sooner or later.

You can't use old RAM with a processor of that generation because the RAM voltage is wrong.
You only need a Z series motherboard with a k series CPU
120Gb SSD is too small
You can get a decent case for $35
You should spend more on the power supply - seasonic or EVGA supernova are good
