Hello, i don't have much experience with amd so i wanted to be sure before i went ahead and bought this motherboard for a friend of mine. She been experiencing a lot of trouble with usbs disconnecting on her current rig and her current motherboard is about 6 years old so i thought we should just swap out motherboards to see if that fixes up some of the troubles she has. http://imgur.com/a/AxpXY This is the processor she currently has and i was makeing sure it fit this mother board (https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-970-Gaming-Aura-Motherboard/dp/B01A33PHLA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490490034&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+am3+motherboard)

Solution
the motherboard is compatible with the cpu if that what you want to know.

just wondering what is the usb issue? there is not many ways to kill all the usb ports on a motherboard as most have two or three usb controllers so killing all of them is kind of hard and really considering that cpu is now considered obsolete it would still be cheaper to buy a PCIx usb card and plug it in if she has an open slot then replace the motherboard just because of usb issues.
