4 cores, 8 threads, 3.4/3.7 ghz.
189$ usd.

based off the benchmarks of ryzen 7 throttled down to the equivalent of ryzen 5 1500x it beats out the i5 7500 by quite a lot in multi core cpu tasks, and in single core speeds the R5 1500x isn't far enough behind to really have a noticeable effect on gaming.

thought's?

The 1400 is cheaper IF you're going to buy an aftermarket cooler anyway
It only comes with the wraith stealth cooler as standard which we have no idea if it's capable of overclocking.

I'd say yes though the 1500x & 1600 (non x) look to be the best 2 value chips in the range , both coming with the very decent spire cooler.
Its not out yet, literally no way of measuring performance, however with those specs it could well perform nearly on the level of an i7 with lower clocks.
It'll probably end up about the same as an i5 7500 in gaming application, but it is almost guaranteed to be an absolute monster for workstation loads and rendering at its given price.
